Requests that work well, and what the assistant does with them.

You don't need tool names or ids. Name people, routes and days the way you would to a coworker; the assistant looks them up first.

On-call

Who's on call this weekend for emergencies?

Reads the Emergency route's schedule and lists who is first, then the backups, for Saturday and Sunday in your timezone.

Jamie covers for Riley on Saturday.

Adds temporary coverage from midnight to midnight with Jamie first. Riley's turn resumes on Sunday.

Start a weekly rotation on Monday at 8am: Jamie, Riley, then Morgan. Use the route's backups.

Creates a repeating rotation with 7-day turns that hand off at 8:00 AM, and shows the next two weeks.

Pause the rotation over the holidays.

Pauses the schedule so calls reach the route's calling order. Resuming picks up where the rotation would be.

Routing

After hours, send emergencies to Jamie, then Riley, then the office.

Uses an existing route with that calling order or creates one, then assigns it to after-hours emergencies.

Add Casey Rivera as a contact with their cell and work email.

Adds a routing contact once you give the number and email. The number is stored in standard format.

Remove Morgan from routing.

Shows everywhere Morgan is still used. Hank won't remove a contact that a route, schedule or department still calls.

Close the office on the day after Thanksgiving.

Adds the holiday closure, so that day uses after-hours routes.

Review before you approve

For anything that removes something, the assistant first shows exactly what would change and asks you to confirm.
